Meet Amanda, Owner of The Knit Bar
I’ve taught hand knitting to hundreds of students, including leading large-scale classes with over 100 attendees at events like Pinners. Creating a space that feels both elevated and welcoming—while helping people accomplish something with their own hands—is what drives everything I do.
I’m passionate about teaching in a way that feels: Fun, Patient, Approachable, and Encouraging so everyone leaves proud of what they made and excited to try again.
I learned hand knitting as a creative outlet and quickly fell in love with how simple, relaxing, and satisfying it felt. When I saw how excited others were to try it—and how proud they felt finishing their first project—I knew I wanted to start teaching and share that experience.
What I love most is watching people realize, “Wait… I can actually do this.” Guests leave The Knit Bar feeling confident, inspired, and excited to keep creating long after class is over.

Where Will You Bring The Knit Bar?
Yes! We travel throughout Salt Lake and Utah County. Events outside those areas do incur a a travel fee.
Do You Travel?
Most events last around 2.5 to 3 hours, giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy the experience and finish their blanket without feeling rushed.
How long is the class?
Every booking includes premium chunky yarn, all project materials, guided instruction, and a completed blanket for each guest. Just choose your blanket color ahead of time and we'll take care of the rest.
What’s included in the price?
Not at all. Our experiences are designed specifically for beginners. You’ll be guided step-by-step from start to finish, and you’ll leave with a completed chunky knit blanket — even if you’ve never picked up yarn before.
